Patricia Martin is a transfer student from the United States. She is in the same class with Yutaka and Minami. Her nickname is Patty. Like Konata, Patricia love anime and manga, she learns Japanese language from them. It make her has a very unusual Japanese words. Patty tends to make generalizations of Japan and its culture based on otaku culture, even more than her senior, Konata Izumi. Patricia also loves Japanese music, but only listens to artist who performed in anime and only those songs. She is extremely energetic and lively, in the last episode she is the one who idea to participate in the parting program by performing cheerleader. Patricia has the second biggest breast size, which she is ashamed about. She works with Konata at the same cosplay cafe.

Yutaka is Konata's cousin and Yui's younger sister. She first appeared in episode 14 in the anime, it was when Konata in third grade and she's just admitted into Ryoo High School and live together with Konata. Just like Konata, Yutaka psychic is smaller than average. She has short red hair which usually tied in small two bunches. Yutaka has a weak psychic and get cold easily, and not grow at all. Konata often tease Yutaka that she won't grow taller than herself. Despite her illness, Yutaka remains cheerful. Minami Iwasaki is her first friend in the school, they meet when Yutaka fell due to her sickness, then Minami help her and Minami lend her hand kerchief to Yutaka. She also befriends Hiyori Tamura and Patricia Martin.

In the middle of the series, Kojima finds that there is another Lilim in this world. Too bad he become victim by this Lilim. Just like any other guys kissed by Lilim, he enjoy it as if that is his first kiss (even he asks a question to Takaya whether kissing feels that amazing). It ends by Kojima wants to meet another Lilim. To summon another Lilim, Kojima make a Summon ceremony. Rather than summon a Lilim, he summons a Winged Lizard called Wyvern. Right after summons, it destroys the school building. But Takaya success sealed it to Lilim's bottle. Then, Lilim incidentally opened it, surprisingly the Wyvern turn into a cute, small Wyvern (but still very dangerous if get angry).

Miyuki Takara is a daughter of a very wealthy family. Not only beautiful, she also has great academic and well mannered. Miyuki nicknamed Yuki-chan by Tsukasa. She is in the same class with Konata and Tsukasa, and the class president for her grade level in her first year. Miyuki always use very polite Japanese, even when talking to her closest friend. Konata and Tsukasa usually asking things that they don't know to her, and Miyuki is often shown giving impromptu but highly detailed, but it too detail for them and they don't understand at all. Even though Konata often asking a question to Miyuki, she don't want to copy homework from her, she said that because Miyuki is just too nice of a person and she wouldn't feel right asking her for that kind of thing. Miyuki is one of the top three best students in her grade of the semester.

Miyuki is a nice and friendly meganekko (glasses girl). She is also a clumsy girl, but Konata refers that as a moe factor and it makes her more interesting. She wears glasses because of she is afraid to wear contact, it's more like she scared that stuff get in her eye, she even can't open her eyes in water. Miyuki's vision had been good until elementary school, but it getting worse due to her habit reading books in the dark after her mother dozed off while reading to her in bed. Miyuki loves to read books and sleep, she always goes to bed early. She really hates go to dentist, even though her cavities get worse. Once in rare occasion, her personality changes when playing video games. Miyuki has the biggest breast among Lucky Star girls, that's why she becomes the frequent victim of Konata's playful bouts of sexual harassment. Tsukasa Hiiragi is the younger fraternal twin sister of Kagami hiiragi. She's not very good at both sports and studying, but excels in cooking. Konata often goes to her house because of that reason (other than copying Kagami's homework), even if she feels lazy. Tsukasa can easily affected by surroundings, and the text book definition of "nice girl." Become as bad as Konata in studying, make Tsukasa often asking Kagami to help her on homework, but with different reason, Tsukasa usually forgets her assignment, while Konata is just too lazy to do them herself. Tsukasa hasn't shown any interest in video games and anime, but she does like the "Keroro Gunsou" series.

Tsukasa is a clumsy type girl, once, she received a mobile phone as birthday present, but didn't need a long time, she ruined her phone when she forget put the phone in her skirt pocket and threw it all in the washing machine. Tsukasa met Konata for first time when Tsukasa stalked by stranger and she don't know what to do, and Konata save her by ran over and beat that stranger down, after that they become a good friend. Tsukasa shares the same laziness (with different reason) as Konata, she is heavy sleeper, and often sleeps until noon, and can't wake up at set up time. Tsukasa's physique is a bit smaller than average. She has short purple hair with a ribbon like head band on it. Once, Konata compare her personality with Kagami, she said that Tsukasa has laid back personality and Kagami has violent personality.

Kagami is the older fraternal twin sister of Tsukasa Hiiragi. Her grades are great, hence she studies very hard. Unlike Tsukasa, Kagami not really good in cooking. She is the only one who separate and always ends in different class. That’s why she joins Humanities in her second year, so she can in the same class with them, but ends with her in different class for second and third year. Konata refers Kagami as Kagamin. Once, she a bit pissed about it and asks Konata to call her other than that, but they can't find a good nick name for her, then she wants Konata to call her Kagami-sama, as a joke. But Konata really calls her that, it really embarrassed her, so she wants Konata to call her by the old name. Konata love to irritate Kagami, and arguing with her. Their arguments act as one of the main factors of comic relief throughout the series. Just like Konata, Kagami also love video games, but she prefers knowledge based games and side scrolling shooters. She love reading light novel, but gets lonely, because no one has the same hobby as she does.

Kagami is stereotypical Tsundere. Once she can be straight and intolerant type, but sometimes she easily feel to become shy and lonely at times (especially when separate in different class with Konata and Tsukasa). Kagami has average body, with long purple hair tied in two bunches and has sharp eyes. She always concerned about her weight, counting every kilogram she gains or loses. Despite her concern about her weight, she has no willpower to control her eating habits, resulting in an "eat now, fret later" attitude. Just like Konata who love to irritate Kagami, she also seems enjoys mocking Konata's smaller body, her laziness (in study or sport) and her habits to be a troublemaker, which usually make Konata becoming very defensive. In spite of her behavior toward Konata, she actually has most concern to her and has a deep sense of attachment to her. Konata often refers her as she has violent personality.

Both Kagami and Tsukasa are left handed. Kagami shares the name of her creator, Kagami Yoshimizu. Kagami was his pen name in his school, and the same personality thought a long time ago.

An easygoing and carefree, yet intelligent and very good at sport, but not interest in any. The only thing she hates is when sport festival comes, because it intrudes on her anime program she loves. She is the shortest of all (she said that she is not growing at all since sixth grade), and the "leader" of Lucky Star girls. Her nickname is Kona-chan, given by Tsukasa. She can be very smart, but rather than studying she prefer reading manga or playing game and very good at last minute cramming. She live with her father, Sojiro Izumi, he is the one who influence Konata in anime and video games. In anime, Konata often make parodies several popular anime, games and manga.

When comp festival going to held in held in Akihabara, Konata took a part-time job on cosplay cafe together with Patricia. She works in order to fund her interests. In online game, she played as male warrior. Konata often plays until midnight, hence she often late to school and becomes frequent victim to her teacher, Nanako Kuroi, who ironically she is part of Konata's team in the same game.

Her body is much smaller than any other normal girl at her age. She said that her body hasn't grown at all since sixth grade. Konata is ambidextrous (able to use both hands well), unlike other character who mostly left handed. Konata has long blue hair, small mole under her left eye (that make her so cute), just like her father. Her mother died when she still so young, and she lives with her father since then. When she is in third year of high school, her cousin, Yutaka Kobayakawa came to live at her house, giving a total of three people in the house.

Personally, Lucky Star is a great manga, yet very unique and hilarious. Well, some of you maybe think that it's an odd manga, but if you read it more, you
will be like it for sure.

Lucky Star is Japanese four panel strip manga by Kagami Yoshimizu, the same author of "Boku to, Bokura no Natsu" (me and my summer). The manga itself has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comtiq magazine since January 2004.

Lucky Star's story portrays the lives of school girls in Japanese high school with a very loose sense of humor. The setting is mainly based on the city of Kasukabe in Saitama Perfecture (also Shin-chan setting city). The main character is Konata Izumi, an energetic (to things she like), intelligent, carefree, and easygoing girl, also excel at sports but not really fan of them. It's all because of her love to anime and video games, and not interested in almost anything else. Like many four panel comic strips, Lucky Star has no ongoing plot, and focuses on the daily lives of the characters.

There are also other versions of Lucky Star:
1. Lucky Star Anime version featured 24 episodes and 1 OVA, aired in Japan from April 8 to September 16, 2007. Near the end of every episode, there is additional segment called Lucky Channel co-hosted by Akira Kogami and her assistant Minoru Shiraishi. The humor of this segment is a bit different. It is darker, mean spirited, more cynical and mature tone than the main show.

2. Another manga version of Lucky Star entitled "Lucky Star Pocket Travelers," published from September 26, 2007 to 2008. The story is about the main character that turn into a very small figure after helping Konata shopping her "needs."

3. Three light novel based on the series also serialized. The first light novel, Lucky Star: Lucky Star Satsujin Jiken (Lucky Star: Lucky Star Murder Case), published on September 1, 2007. The second light novel, Lucky Star: Lucky Star Online, published on March 1, 2008, and the third, Lucky Star Super Dowa Taisen, published on October 1, 2008.
