Since age 2 year old Gon was left in the care of Mito on Whale Island and never saw his father face. Mito told Gon that his parents were dead, but eventually He find out the truth that his father still alive and he choose the same path as his father, to be a Hunter. So he can meets again with his father.
At the age of nine, Gon saved by a Hunter from a monster. That Hunter is Ging's apprentice named Kite, and he telling Gon that his father was alive. Their meeting make Gon want to look for his father and also decide to participate in Hunter Exam.
Like any other kid, Gon innocence and friendly charmed everyone around him. In the Exam, Gon befriend with three people who become his best friend, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. Gon has sharp senses of smell, taste, hearing and vision, and it help them through many test in Hunter Exam. Gon got his instinct due to his childhood, often playing in the forest. Other than that, Gon can communicate and befriend with animal easily, also he can heal him self faster than normal
human. Gon weapon is pretty unusual, a fishing rod which once owned by his father. With this rod he can swing it accurately (though Killua can do better when they trying to catch bird) and hook up his target. Despite his naive appearance, Gon able to adapt quickly with situation and make strategies in the middle of battle. After trained by Wing in the Heaven Arena, Gon can use Nen and Knuckle's Nen ability shows that Gon has approximately 20,000 auras.
Nen Ability
Gon is Kyouka type, it resemble that he is Simple Minded and Determined. Kyouka excel in attack and defense, and also have ability to heal himself faster.
Gon sharpened his ability after thought by Wing, he said that Gon and Killua are 1 of 10,000,000 people in the world who can use Nen better. Gon Hatsu ability is pretty unique, he calls it Jajanken. This name come from Rock Paper Scissors Game (Jan Ken Pon or Janken), he named accidentally when he asked by Knuckle about the name of his ability, due to his nervousness.

Paper - By using Houshutsu, Gon can emits aura from his palm. This attack is a long range attack that fires Nen as a projectile. Because Gon is a Kyouka, Paper is weaker than Rock, but it can be useful for pincer attack.
Killua Zoldyck

As Zoldyck member, he has been in constant training for the occupation of a Pro Assassin. At the age of 6, Killua joins in the Heaven Fighting Tournament, he need 2 years to get to the 190th floor. Killua admitted by his family members as the true family Heir and the most talented child in the history of Zoldyck family. Although all his family want him to be heir, Killua shows no interest to continue his family business. He runaway from his house and participate in Hunter Exam, though, later he failed because of his brother
Illumi. Killua meets Gon very first team in Hunter Exam and become best friend.
From outside, Killua just like any ordinary kid at his age, have good clothes, cheerful, cheeky, has cute smile and a lot of mischievous ideas. However, his other side has ruthlessness, deadly, bloodthirsty and able to kill somebody with a little hesitation. With his extraordinary agility and combined with his Dark step technique, Killua can kill person with ease, he is a one man killing machine. But Killua has fear to somebody who stronger than him, one of whom is his elder brother Illumi.
Killua not using any weapon at first episode except for his assassin technique and his hands that have been modified so it can transform into razor sharp claws, and with one swift it can rip heart or beheaded opponents in a nick of time. During the Greed Island arc, Killua try to use multiple yo-yos as weapon, made by his brother from special substance. Though small, it weight 50 kilograms each and they can be combined with Killua's electrical Nen abilities. Killua
seldom using that Yo-yo in battle, he only uses his physical ability in order to hide his real combat abilities. As a Gugenka, Killua change his Nen and forming several electrical based techniques. This technique was inspired by the childhood Killua who tortured by give him electric shocks.

Izutsushi (Lightning Palm)
The first technique Killua developed. Killua is able to shock his opponent by touching them.
Narukami (Thunderbolt)
An evolve technique from Izutsushi, Killua can project a large lightning from his hand and zap his opponent with electricity from distance. Narukami name is come from Kabuki play, Narukami Fudo Kitama Zakura, in which the character Narukami transform into a thunder god at the end at the fourth act.
Kanmuru (God Speed)
Created when Killua fight against the Ortho Siblings, Killua's Kanmuru technique allows him to move and reacts his body at speeds that would nearly impossible.
This technique changes Killua's aura into electrical impulse and transmitting from his brain directly to the part of body he want to use. It made up two
separate technique: Raikou Sekka, a technique to move his body freely, and Jinrai, a technique that allows him to sense any movement of his opponent and have his bodies react automatically.

Kurapika is the sole member of Kurta Clan. Kurta Clan is group of people who chose to live in obscurity in the Lukso Province. This clan possess eyes that can change it color to flaming scarlet and boost their power when they're angry or emotional agitation, and once they died when their eyes activated, the scarlet color would be stay still in their iris forever. Some people things that it's a magnificent treasure. Few years ago, a group of people called Genei Ryodan came to Kurapika's homeland and massacred all the member of the clan, leaving behind numbers of body without eyes. As the sole survivor, Kurapika swear to take back all of his tribe eyes, by tracking Genei Ryodan down and seeking revenge, even if it cost his own life.
As a guy Kurapika has "beautiful" face, and he has level headed and intelligent, possessing vast knowledge. He cans analyses things fast and saved his lives friend many times. Though his intelligent brain, Kurapika can be depressed coz of something strange. Such as in second Hunter test, when Menchi said that he is in the same level as Leorio.
Kurapika chose two Tantou that hidden below his over shirt. And in Yorknew City he uses a set of chains on his right hand that materialized from his Nen.

Emperor Time (Absolute Mastery)
When Kurapika's eyes turn scarlet, he shifts from Gugenka to Tokushitsu. This state is called Emperor Time, and it allows him to utilize all the type of Nen to 100%.
To increase his chains power against Genei Ryodan, Kurapika places strict rules on his nen blades. For each chain on his fingers have different ability.

Shaped like a hook, it wraps around enemies body and the enemies forcefully enter Zetsu state, shutting off their aura and preventing the use of Nen. This chain can only break with pure brute strength, but it still nearly impossible. This chain can only activate against Genei Ryodan, if using it other than Genei Ryodan, Kurapika will die.
Ring Finger Ability: Dowsing Chain (The Guiding Ring Finger)
Kurapika uses this frequently in his normal state, for both attack and defense. It shaped like a ball, and useful for located someone by move in the direction of whatever he is dowsing for.
Little Finger Ability: Judgment Chain (Arbiter Little Finger)
The Stake of Retribution, the blade on the end of chain enters enemies’ body and wraps around the heart. Kurapika set 2 conditions and if they broke one of them, the chain will crush their heart, and kill them. It can only activate when Kurapika's eyes turns scarlet. He also use it for himself, so he can use his middle finger chain ability more effective.

Leorio meets Gon for the first time when Gon leaves to take the Hunter Exam. A little known about Leorio. He once lost a very close friend Pietro, because of serious disease. Leorio feels remorseful when he can't save his friend, the disease actually can be cured, but required a surgery that he could not afford. That's why Leorio want to become Hunter in order to get Hunter benefit and use it to get a college, and he will became a doctor that not only able to cure
disease, but also waive the fee for the poor. Other than that, Leorio really good at bargain things (when he help Gon buy handphone, he can get 50% discount). Leorio is a loyal person who greatly values the bond of friendship. He always act like big brother of the group, though Killua ridicules (as old man) him for his age. He is nothing compared to genius combatant like Gon and Killua, but compared with average man, Leorio indeed strong. He is physically stranger than
Gon (when none of them using Nen), he was able to open the second gate to the Zoldyck estate, when Gon only able to open the first. Though physically strong, Leorio only success in mastering Ten, he not yet able to use Nen. Leorio weapon is a Tanto.
