D.Gray-Man is a Japanese manga series created by Katsura Hoshino, female manga artist from Shiga Prefecture. She made her first debut with manga entitled "continue". D.Gray-Man first show up in 2004 in Shounen Jump Magazine, published by Shueisha under jump comic and now D.Gray-Man reaching 16 volumes. Not only manga, there is also novel series written and authored by Kaya Kizaki entitled "Reverse". Reverse containing the background of D.Gray-Man characters. D.Gray-Man have 103 Episodes, yet it still far from end comparing to its manga.
Katsura Hoshino was born on April 21, 1980 in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. She is younger sister of fraternal twin girls and the second of three children. In her young age, she liked to draw manga every single day to please her sister. When a kid, she often tease about wearing toupee, it's all because Katsura also meaning toupee, although written in different kanji. In 1998, when she moved to Tokyo, she lived with her cat named Koro who has difficulty walking. Koro move around by rolling, but that cheers her when she in bad mood. She said that Koro resembles Allen golem, Timcanpy.
