Just like this manga title, he is very goofy and pervert inventor. When he create something, it would gone wrong or even "too perfect." Sometimes he can transform into a more handsome, taller version of him (for three minutes). When in this state, he looks like Tony Stark, the Iron Man inventor. Arale usually call him Hakase (Doctor).
He creates many things in his life and always said that his creation is "perfect." Well, indeed it’s "perfect," but some of them are just too "perfect," such as when he makes dog, that dog can pee, and always run after cats. He increase his family by makes a girl robot, Arale. At first time Dr. Slump makes her, Arale already had minus eyes. After Arale shows up, all his life changes entirely.
Senbei (Dr. Slump) has his dreamed women, Midori, she is Arale's teacher. Senbei always get nervous when around her, and sometimes he creates something to get "close" to her. One day, when Midori visits him, he try t propose her and practicing while carrying tea for her. Midori accidentally hears that (when she is in toilet) and she accept it, just like that. He got one son in his marriage; he named his son, Turbo Norimaki.

If you fan of gag manga, this would be satisfied you. Although it's an old manga but people said "old but gold", and that's true for this manga. Dr. Slump a gag manga created and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. Akira Toriyama is very familiar with his great manga, Dragon Ball which influence to other popular manga nowadays. Dr. Slump first published in 1980 to 1984 and compiled in 18 volumes. Anime based was made into two separate anime TV series. First, Dr. Slump. and Arale-chan ran from 1981 to 1986 featured 243 episodes, and the second anime ran from 1997 to 1999 featured 74 episodes. In addition to the series, 11 animated films have been made.
Dr. Slump story full of puns and bathroom jokes, also make parodies from both Japanese and American film. Such as, one of character is "Zuppaman", unlike the real character this guy has a short, fat, pompous buffoon who changes into Superman like costume in the phone box and eating a suppai (sour taste) umeboshi. Lit. mean "Rice Cracker wrapped in Seaweed") is a genius inventor, his nick name is Dr. Slump. In the first serial, Senbei want to make the most perfect girl robot, named Arale Norimaki (her name also a pun. lit. mean "Little Rice cracker"). And he success creating "a perfect" girl robot, but due to his lousiness, Arale turns out to be in severe need of eyeglasses. Arale has super strength, also very naive and always make a lot of trouble to Senbei and the villagers with it. She really is a trouble maker, also the source of the Jokes.
